Fire Starter

They have been complaining a lot saying I have been delaying again and again their chance to play lantern, which I don't deny......sorry lor.....finally their thirst for lighting those candles we quenced. At first, both behaved, just lighting candles, but they became devils towards the end, especially Shawn, burning everything that he could pick from the ground, of course then with his mommy kept "yelling" after him....this cannot burn, that cannot burn!! I believed the playground is almost freed of dried branches...ha ha.

See the "Angels" below...showing their peace sign.

Both busy lighting up their paper lanterns - from last year

They hung the lanterns all by themselves

At end, they too busy keeping the fire alive by burning branches" , both gave up lighting the lanterns!

Can recycle again next year!

The fire became quite huge later on burning and had to be put off with ice. I wonder what has became to the stones...must go check out this evening! We ended past 10pm.

Grandma's 83rd Birthday

Once a year everyone will gather to celebrate Grandma's birthday. Those who were away, like Aunty Kit and Sheau Hwe will call to wish her Happy Birthday and chat with her over the phone. Those in Malaysia will come together for a dinner and cake cutting. This year, a bit different, we had Karaoke session. At first, the adults took the mic singing evergreens....but, our kids...they seems much better....they sung both the modern and evergreens...BRAVO!!

The mic were soon "conquered" by the kids!! They sang till the end and hmmm...not bad at all...especially Uai-Tng..she has a great voice..Uai-An too, and I bet you will think they sings lullaby and twinkle twinkle little stars! No...no no....they sang Sally Yeh's, Kelly Chen, Priscilla Chan, Grasshoppers....the most touching one was Jay Chou's "Ting Ma Ma De Hua"......their best part was the Chorus........give them big round of applause! clap clap clap....
